Bio Safe Janitorial is owned and run by Maria. The crew is her family and the people she has trained herself. Every week they clean two buildings for a regional health system — and every office, clinic, and lobby we take on after that gets the same crew and the same standard.

How it started
Maria took the buildings nobody else wanted to be careful in.
Bio Safe began the way most cleaning companies begin: one person, a car full of supplies, and a handful of small offices in Fairfield who needed someone reliable. What made it grow was the part that’s harder to see.
Maria took the buildings with rules. The ones with sign-in sheets and access logs and a compliance officer who wanted to know what was in the bottle. She read the labels, she learned the dwell times, she trained her crew on bloodborne pathogens before anyone asked her to, and she kept the records.
When a regional hospital system needed a contractor for two of its buildings — including space where patients wait and are seen — that habit is why a small family company in Solano County got the work, and why it still has it.
The standard didn’t come from the hospital. The hospital came because of the standard.

Three things, and none of them are sentimental.

The crew doesn’t turn over
Commercial janitorial runs on high turnover, which is why your cleaner is a stranger every few months and why things get missed. Our people stay. The crew cleaning your building in December is the crew that cleaned it in June, and they know where everything is.

The owner answers the phone
When something goes wrong at six in the morning, you call Maria. Not a regional dispatch line, not a ticket queue. She lives fifteen minutes from most of the buildings we clean.

The name is on the work
Losing a client isn’t a line item in a quarterly report here. It is a family conversation at a kitchen table in Fairfield. That is a real form of accountability, and it’s the one we’d want from a contractor.
The people
Trained, screened, and here on purpose.
Every Bio Safe employee clears a background check and a drug screen before their first shift, completes OSHA bloodborne-pathogen training before entering a clinical building, and renews it every year. They wear a uniform with the company name on it because they are accountable for what they do in your building.
We pay above what this industry usually pays and we schedule so that people aren’t running three buildings in one night. That isn’t charity. A rushed crew skips dwell times, and a crew that quits takes everything it learned about your building with it.
It also means we grow slowly. We’d rather turn down a contract than take one we can’t staff with people we trained.
